The President of the Bundestag, Dr Wolfgang Schäuble, opened the parliamentary conference on “Strategies against hate speech – where are we, what are our aims?” on Monday, 14 October 2019. The conference was organised by the No Hate Parliamentary Alliance created by the Committee on Equality and Non-Discrimination of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The Alliance is made up of Members of Parliament who actively seek to combat racism, hatred and intolerance. The conference participants examined the concept of “political framing”.
