The remit of the Committee on Economic Affairs and Energy covers all the areas of work dealt with by the ministry it mirrors. It is responsible for all aspects of the transformation of our energy system, the associated issues in the field of climate protection and the topic of energy conservation. The priorities for its deliberations on energy policy will be the revision of the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG), grid expansion and energy efficiency. All aspects of technology policy, industrial policy, policy for small and medium-sized enterprises, the European internal market, foreign trade and investment, and global competition feature on the Committee’s agenda.
